He brought my heart to a place where I was reminded that I had been adopted by Him. That whole "forever family" thing kept coming to my mind. I was in with Someone who, no matter what I did or how I acted, was never going to send me away or disown me.
God spoke so clearly to my heart.
Don't you see? He said.
You've been adopted. And you have the ability to facilitate that in order to see My Kingdom here and now.
I feel like there is a little one out there somewhere. She may or may not be born yet on earth, but God has borne her in my heart already.
Someday I will be her mom.
[A long time from now, obviously. ha.]
But nonetheless, what a joy and privilege to experience the principles on which the Kingdom operates here in this world of orphans, spiritually and physically speaking.
There don't have to be any orphans, you know. That's a bold statement, but we serve a God who made the sun stand still, so He must like bold.

I think adoption is such a special privelage. Grace has been saying for a few years now that she wants to adopt a baby when she grows up. I know she will be an awsome mom just like you will.
Lauren what a blessing you are going to be to a child someday. God gave me a scripture when I was working at a young lives camp for teen moms and It has come up time and time again. I can no longer have children and my heart was longing for more. Then, when I was running and talking with the Lord at the camp he told me to widen my tent stakes, I could be a mother to many, they didn't have to be from my womb. I have my youth group kids, young lives and my kids friends and if God ever puts on my heart to adopt I can be a mother to that child also.
I would like to share my scripture with you. Lauren you have a big heart that is so easy to see from your blog. God is going to bless any child he places in your arms be it from your womb or from someone else.
Isaiah 54:1-3 " sing, o barren women, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband say the lord. Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in there desolate cities.
When the time is right for you Lauren, widen your tent stakes and be a mother to many. God's Blessings, Kim
